Boston, MA

New airport concourse connecting Terminal A and Terminal E at Boston Logan International Airport, with 3,150 car 7-level parking garage. $104M construction cost. 1.5 milliion SF. Post-tensioned concrete with exposed cast-in-place and precast concrete cladding, glazed aluminum curtainwall, insulated aluminum metal panel.

This new $104M building at the center of Botson Logan International Airport was intended to be a new heart for the airport campus, tying together many disparate visual experiences into a coherent whole, and working together with the new pedestrian bridges by Cambridge 7 & Associates to create a new gateway into the airport. The facade is conceived as a bridge supported on two massive pylons, themselves reminiscent of the Federal Reserve Bank Building across the water in downtown Boston.
