
New 89,500 SF, $24M addition, creating a new "front door" to clarify and organize the campus while giving it a new identity. Three floors of flexible clinical space.
Milford Hospital added 89,500 SF and renovated over 30,000 SF. The addition consists of six suites: an Emergency Department, including nurses station, treatment rooms, all med gases, decontamination unit, triage and doctors’ and nurses’ offices; the Quick Care which includes laboratories; O.R., including isolation rooms, life support systems and special wall coatings; Central Sterile with new sterilizers and extensive cabinetry; LDRP with new birthing unit; ICU, including life support systems, gas isolation and more offices; a new Central Plant with redundant systems.
A two-story glass-covered Atrium provides a peaceful and beautiful resting point in the circulation path through the project, with stair and elevators clearly visible from multiple directions. A meditation space is easily accessible directly off off this Atrium.
